2008 SEASON - FLEET 42 SCHEDULE

Please note that the Fall Family Weekends at Lake Roosevelt have been
canceled due to high water levels and no beach cat shoreline. It is
possible later this fall, once the crowds die down, that we will have
a day sail event at Lake Pleasant.

** FALL ROCKY POINT CHALLENGE - Time to let us know if you will be
attending, so please, please notify scottagan@earthlink.net or call
480-540-5634. Remember, we need to have as close to 15 boats as
possible to make this a financially feasible regatta. DEADLINE IS
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 19 TO NOTIFY US IF YOU ARE ENTERING THE REGATTA.

* T-SHIRTS - with regatta artwork - $15. Let Scott know your size.
These will be separate purchase from the regatta entry fee. E-mail at

need the Playa Bonita Registration Form or the Rocky Point Challenge
Participation Form, or the Notice of race in PDF format, Please e-mail

Fleet 42 has a block of #25 spots.

** PLAYA BONITA RV PARK RESERVATIONS - This is just a reminder to
EVERYONE to get your reservations in early to Playa Bonita by mail
prior to our Mexico events. Depending on the event, be sure to put
under Requests 'Spring or Fall Rocky Point Challenge' or 'SailFest'
plus my name, Claudia Kirscher. This is how the reservations are
listed. Please remember that 10 days prior to our event I will be
calling Playa Bonita and releasing and 'giving back' those spaces not
yet reserved so that Playa Bonita does not charge us for these spaces.
DO NOT EXPECT TO HAVE A SPACE IF YOU DID NOT MAIL IN A DEPOSIT !
Fleet 42 DOES NOT handle the actual individual camp spot reservations
nor do we collect the $$. This must be done by contacting Playa
Bonita RV Park and making the appropriate deposit to Playa Bonita for
reservations. Not my rules, I'm only the messenger. Thanks ! Blank

** NEW POLICY AT PLAYA BONITA - For those not actually staying at the
RV park, you are no longer able to park boat trailers and extra
vehicles at the back wall. You will need to rent a camping space to
store your trailer. Consider sharing a space with someone. See if
you can park your vehicle with someone in Fleet 42 with a campsite.

** PASSPORTS - As of January 31, 2008 - you MUST have a passport to
enter BACK into the United States regardless of your mode of travel
(plane, water, land travel). This applies to travel from Mexico and
Canada back into the United States. You may also use BOTH a drivers
license AND a birth certificate.

**AS OF JANUARY 2009, you will be required to have a passport or
passport card. No other form of identification will be accepted.

*CONGRATULATIONS to Katy James on her recent participation in the La
Jolla Open Water Swim over the Labor Day weekend. She finished 104th
out of 358 women swimming in the 1 mile event. She did her second best
time yet, completing the course in 28 minutes and 3 seconds. Way to go
Katy!!

* NEW ! CONDO FOR RENT- At Casa Blanca, down the beach from Playa
Bonita, 2 bedrooms with a sofa sleeper. Fully furnished, 125 per

Cholla Bay that comes with a big fat mortgage. Looking for
responsible people in search of a nice place to stay while vacationing

and unrestricted ATV use. Two-minute walk to JJ's Cantina. $125 a
night - $25 discount for sailors. $100 deposit with $25 of that going
