The Great Texas Catamaran Race Is a four leg race that starts at South Padre Island Tx and ends up at Galveston Island TX. the fisrts two Legs are over 100 miles Long with shorter legs on the last two days.

Racing This Year From Fleet 42 Were Matt Morris on his hobie Tiger With His crew from back east some where.
and Lee Wicklund on his hobie 21 with Anthony Aquila Crewing.

This year's Great Texas Catamaran Race was held over Father's Day Weekend and was divided into 4 legs from South Padre Island to Galveston Island covering 300 miles. The first two legs are over 100 miles long with shorter legs on the last two days. The wind was blowing so hard that the boats averaging 14 knots and periodically reaching 20 knots.
